Recent Reads
It begins with Mark Spitz's Bowie: A Biography. Pretty inspiring for the first three quarters or so. Particularly around the Diamond Dogs - Station to Station period. Unfortunately around Lodger he basically starts just going through the motions.

Then yesterday/today I read (well re-read, I went through a beat phase when I was 17) Queer by William Burroughs. Not a bad little book, too quick to get annoying.
I then planned on reading Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (finally), but it was out so I settled for American Psycho instead.

However that book lead me to John Rechy's City of Night. The story of a youngman and the people he meets as he hustles his way across the United States.

Next (for reasons I won't explain here) I chose to read Mysterious Skin by Scott Heim. Which is basically about the different ways in which two boys deal with the experience of being preyed upon by their Little League coach.
Also, if you haven't, check Gregg Araki's film adaptation. I like it better than the book myself, though that's possibly only because I saw it first (and am planning on rewatching it this evening).
